The Rainforest Foundation has helped indigenous groups win several precedent-setting national and international legal battles upholding indigenous peoples’ rights. We have helped create national and international laws that recognize the rights of indigenous peoples. Such cases did not exist 20 years ago. Indigenous groups around the world can now use these landmark cases in their own local or national battles.
