Volunteer

We are happy to work with individuals to create a unique and rewarding volunteer experience. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know how you would like to help at rffny @ rffny.org. You can also sign up for our email newsletter at the upper right hand corner and check off “volunteer” as one of your interests so we can keep you up to date on our specific needs.

Internships

Internship positions at RF-US are available at different times during the year and may include research, writing,media outreach, web updates, special events coordination, translation and general administrative help. Financial compensation is generally not available for interns.

We are currently seeking a Communications and Development Intern

Responsibilities: The Communications and Development Intern will principally focus on the following activities:

1. Update, draft and edit content for Rainforest Foundation website, blog and social networking sites.
2. Draft quarterly organizational newsletters highlighting the work of our partners and relevant news.
3. Assist in writing and design of our Annual Report.
4. Develop and implement strategies to increase traffic on our website and activity on our social networking sites.
5. Develop and implement strategies to grow our on-line fundraising.
6. Assist in drafting foundation proposals.

Time-frame: Position open immediately. 10 week minimum time commitment preferred. Work will be based in New York City.

Requirements: Current college student or college graduate. Excellent writing skills. Familiarity with human rights and/or environmental issues preferred.
